Vision

To be the premier career-enabling ecosystem, empowering every student with the skills, knowledge and industry connect, thereby contributing to an Enlightened Society.

Mission

The Mission of the T&P Cell of Sarvajanik University is:

  • To provide equal and inclusive placement opportunities to students across all constituent colleges, irrespective of discipline, gender, socio-economic background or academic record, consistent with Sarvajanik Education Society (SES's) commitment to inclusive education.
  • To systematically train students with technical, professional, analytical and soft skills so that they are globally competitive with holistic personality and industry-ready upon graduation.
  • To facilitate internships, live projects, industrial visits and entrepreneurship exposure as integral components of career development.

Sarvajanik University (SU) has a commitment to provide quality career opportunities to the students of all its constituent colleges. The SU Training & Placement Cell, managed by the Convener of Training & Placement in liaison with College-level Training & Placement Departments, takes care of the placement and internship activities in a fair, transparent and systematic manner.

Objectives

  • To provide equal opportunity to all eligible students for campus recruitment and internships.
  • To establish and nurture good rapport with industries, government departments and other recruiters.
  • To ensure student training, counselling and development to groom them industry-ready.
  • To maintain the highest standards of discipline and decorum during the campus recruitment drive.
  • To maximize the value of placements while protecting the interests of the students, recruiters, and SU.

Organisational Structure

University Level: Convener – Training & Placement (T&P) Cell (overall policy, major recruiters and overall coordination) → Co-convener → Committee members → Students team.

College Level: Training & Placement Officer (TPO) → Faculty Coordinator of the individual department → Student Placement Committee in each constituent college.

All college T&P Cells shall function under the guidelines of this University Placement Policy and report to the University Convener.

Eligibility Criteria

A student is eligible to participate in the placement process only if he/she satisfies all of the following:

  • Academic: Minimum CGPA / percentage as required by the recruiting institute/organisation (University will not dilute company criteria).
  • No active backlogs at the time of registration for a particular drive (unless the company explicitly permits).
  • It is expected that students with prior backlogs must have cleared them before the start of the final-year placement season (exceptions only with written approval of University Convener/company).
  • Conduct: No major disciplinary action or pending enquiry against the student.
  • Registration: Mandatory student registration on the University Placement Portal within the stipulated window.
  • Submission of updated academic resume, corresponding documents, and undertaking.

Programme-specific

Final-year students of UG/PG programmes and pre-final year with second-year students (for internships/PPO opportunities) as per company requirements.

Students pursuing dual degrees or integrated programmes shall be governed by the rules of their primary programme.

Note: Mere eligibility does not guarantee a job. Selection is completely with the decision of the recruiting body.

Registration Process

  • Students must register online on the SU Placement Portal and college-level portal (if any).
  • Registration fee (if applicable) shall be decided annually by the University.
  • False information or forged documents will lead to permanent debarment and disciplinary action.
  • Once registered, students are bound by this policy.
